Katarina Brown

When the National Romantic style took a step back, Nordic Classicism moved forward and introduced a more strict design with cleaner lines. The yearning for nature was still there as well as conservative, heavy elements from the 19th century, which constituted a large part of the 1920s' pattern portfolio. This lovely pattern, a reconstruction of a wallpaper from the 1920s, was discovered at Oppmanna in northeast Skåne. Here the pattern's direction has changed course compared to the previous decades. From vertical to horizontal.
